I asked Emma if she could weave some tea towels to sell through the studio. It's something I've never had time to do, and seriou This Sunday's Open Studio is going to be a quiet one. I've sold heaps of work this past month and haven't had a chance to catch up yet so I haven't put a lot of effort into advertising that I'm open this Sunday.

This deliciously soft and squishy wool x mohair throw blanket was inspired by the beautiful Red Beard Orchid, which is tiny and gorgeous and seems to especially love

I open the studio to the public on the first Sunday
It is with great sadness that I share that my dear friend and weaving mentor Esther Nitschke MBE passed away today peacefully at home. 

For those of you who knew Esther and would like to attend her funeral, it will be at the Beauchamp Funeral Home i Open Studio this Sunday the 1st of February 10am - 4pm.

Come and visit me in my Ashhurst studio, which is about 10 minutes from Palmerston North, and learn about weaving, watch a demonstration and even make your own cute and colourful mug rug to tak
