It is with great sadness that I share that my dear friend and weaving mentor Esther Nitschke MBE passed away today peacefully at home. 

For those of you who knew Esther and would like to attend her funeral, it will be at the Beauchamp Funeral Home i Open Studio this Sunday the 1st of February 10am - 4pm.

Come and visit me in my Ashhurst studio, which is about 10 minutes from Palmerston North, and learn about weaving, watch a demonstration and even make your own cute and colourful mug rug to tak
I get lots of lovely messages from people asking where they can buy my handwoven  throw-blankets 🧡

Currently, you can buy them from my Open Studio days which are the first Sunday of each month in my Ashhurst studio. Ashhurst is in the Manawatū regi I recently stayed on a chestnut orchard in Te Horo, near Otaki. The light was so beautiful in amongst the chestnut trees I couldn't help but use the setting to take a few photos of a blanket I had recently finished weaving 🧡

The colours in this bla New Zealand wool and mohair throw blanket. Perfect for bringing a pop of colour to your lounge, bedroom or rusty old tractor over the back fence 🧡

I haven't had a complete disaster yet - but certainly a few nice surprises! This was one of those, where what I was aiming f Thank you to everyone who visited for the Open Day on Sunday - it was such fun wasn't it?! I had so many people visit I didn't have a chance to take any photos but I loved meeting and chatting to all of you 🧡
